WHEN DID THE CHURCH BEGIN?

We humbly acknowledge that much confusion has crept into the understanding of Christianity, often because men have relied on tradition, human opinions, and religious systems rather than returning fully to the authority of Scripture. The lesson carefully calls us back—with a tone of warning and sincere concern—to examine the origin of Christianity not through history shaped by men, but through the revealed Word of God. It emphasizes that Christianity is not a product of Roman influence, church councils, or reform movements, but a divine plan established by God, fulfilled only after Christ’s death, resurrection, and glorification. Any teaching or practice that contradicts this original pattern, no matter how appealing or widespread, must be approached with caution and, where necessary, rejected.

With deep urgency, the message points to the Day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 as the true beginning of Christianity, where the Holy Spirit came with power, the gospel was first preached in its fullness, and souls were added by God into His church. It reminds us—almost pleadingly—that true faith requires returning to this original foundation: the same gospel, the same obedience, and the same church established by Christ. In a world filled with religious distortion and self-serving doctrines, we are urged to turn away from error, embrace the simplicity of biblical truth, and align ourselves with God’s original design, holding firmly to His unchanging hand.
